About 9:30 AM, I got the news. My family pretty much knew it, but we still left the matter in the hands of God -- His decree is absolute, and it is final.
So after sixty years, one week, and two days...dad's gone. He's dead.
And I don't know where he's going.

Well hey turns out it was over SIX years
Despite the best efforts of my depression, a hurricane, my gallbladder, two wisdom teeth, a rebellious jaw, and a number of other things I've since forgotten, I'm still alive. :) Sorry for the long radio silence. My interest in DA has fallen down something fierce (not helped by the fact my old documents are on a computer we don't use anymore), not to mention a number of life events taking priority, but I'm still around. As for what's happened since we last chatted... * I had surgery to remove my gallbladder in 2017, followed by the removal of my two left wisdom teeth in 2018 (they were impacted and one was "hot", resulting in unbearable amounts of pain). * My brother Charles quit his job at Toys R Us in 2018 due to crappy scheduling (often 2-3 days a week and about 15 hours total) and the fact he had to take multiple buses to even get to work. He soon got a decidedly better job at a storage facility near where we live (only to later be let go), then after a long while decided to go
Well, at least it wasn't another two years...
Yes, I'm still alive. :P
Not much has happened with me over the past eight months, to be honest, aside from my birthday ($55 in Nintendo eShop cards, $40 cash, two subs from Subway, and a late surprise of a Third Doctor Sonic Screwdriver). Still haven't seen a doctor, and I know I should, although I've been using mouthwash at least once a day as part of my wakeup routine (albeit after some initial paralyzing fears that I'd ingest some).
I've also been able to get ahold of some Crystal Pepsi, and holy crap is it delicious. Seriously, I wanted to buy some from Pepsi directly (since it's a limited run, for no apparent reason), but they don't s

Good lord, has it really been over two years since I last made a Journal entry?
...Shows you how much goes on in my life. :P
In all seriousness, though, the last two years haven't been entirely unmemorable:
* Last year, for instance, I finally managed to get a 3DS for...I think it was $150? I have about a dozen games for it, plus a few I've downloaded via the eShop (I really got into Pokemon Rumble World, for instance). If you want to trade Friend Codes, let me know. :)
* The main thing, though, involves my bouts with depression: earlier this year, I finally saw my doctor's office about them. The first doctor I saw (there's three of 'em i
So what *have* I been doing lately?
Other than contributing to the Wheel of Fortune History Wiki (http://wheeloffortunehistory.wikia.com; for some reason, the "a href" code refuses to work for this link only)...not much. Back in June, I began uploading again to my YouTube channel, using my Twitter account to help promote it. (I can't believe I've spent nearly five years here and never plugged these. :O)
Do you mind if I tell you a little story about that? Of course you don't, it's the internet. :XD:
Originally, I uploaded in segments through a convoluted DVD-to-PC transfer method using the audio/video wires of my Xbox (later Xbox 360), a blue audio/video-plug-holes-on-one-end

Just remember, he's no longer in pain. And I'm sure he would want you to be happy, above all else.
